Philippe de Korsak – A passion turned into a driving force

Portrait of Philippe de Korsak, founder of Félix Helmet

Behind every Félix helmet lies much more than just a design: there is a man, a passion, and an extraordinary journey. Philippe de Korsak, founder and leader of Félix Helmet, transformed a personal quest for performance into a unique entrepreneurial adventure, spanning race tracks, icy snow, and fiberglass.

An athlete above all else

Born in Val-de-Marne and now based in the Var region, Philippe didn’t wait for automobiles to face the demands of high-level competition. Athletics, water skiing, jet skiing… his journey is marked by one obsession: understanding and pushing the limits of body and mind. But it was motorsport—discovered later in life—that became the ultimate arena for his pursuit of perfection.

From sliding to glory

It was on the ice of the Trophée Andros that he forged his reputation. In 1999, he won the Elite category. This was followed by a professional driving career from 2000 to 2007 alongside some of the greats: Yvan Muller, Alain Prost… He became an official driver for Toyota and Fiat, and developed racing tires for Continental between 2001 and 2007. Adrenaline was ever-present, but so were precision, analysis, and a passion for detail.

Passing it on: a natural calling

In 2008, Philippe changed course. He swapped the steering wheel for coaching, bringing the same rigor. He then trained drivers in some of the biggest competitions: Trophée Andros, Euro Nascar, WTCC… Among his protégés are Mehdi Bennani (2020 WTCR Europe champion), Dorian Boccolacci in GT3, Hugo Valente, Fernando Monjes, Romain Fournillier, and Yann Zimmer.
He became one of the first graduates of the DEJEPS, a state-certified diploma for high-level coaches, and developed a comprehensive approach to performance: mental, technical, physical, and media-related.

A quiet builder

A visionary, Philippe also contributed to the creation of several circuits: the Circuit des Écuyers (Aisne), as well as the Jean Alesi karting track in Avignon and the Philippe Alliot karting track in La Roche-sur-Yon. His attention to detail and hospitality have made these venues popular for training sessions and testing.

Félix Helmet: where technology meets style

The story of Félix Helmet is a natural progression. Tired of the impersonal motorcycle helmet market, Philippe created his own brand. Here, there are no compromises: the helmets are technical, well finished, and built to last. Every line reflects a standard inherited from motorsport. Every curve tells a piece of the racetrack. Félix is not an opportunistic brand. It is the culmination of a journey. From racer to coach. From coach to craftsman. From passionate enthusiast to entrepreneur.
